Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist competing for the UFC at the flyweight division, is currently a Kyrgyzstani. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous decision. Antonina kept her winning streak going by winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, along with the title of 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She took home at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012, The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO during the 2nd round, and was able to take home 2 subsequent fights, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her return to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous win. She went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. It was the top fight of night for this fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
